Philadelphia 76ers -3 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Just one play today for me as the Indiana game was difficult for me to get a read on with the uncertainty surrounding the availability of the Bucks stars so I ended up just passing on that one. Anyway my play is on Philadelphia once again tonight to win and cover at home against the Knicks. I think this one is going 7 games with the Sixers taking care of business tonight in front of a more raucous home crowd in game 6. The Knicks played most of their key guys close to 50 minutes last game and I think that takes a toll on them here on the road where its tough to close a team out so I played the Sixers -3.

0-1 Thursday night as the Sixers fall short. I really thought they'd make a run in this playoffs but you can't win in the playoffs when your third best player in Tobias Harris who you paid a huge amount of money can't even score a single point. Hopefully on tomorrow's 2 game slate I get back on track and find some winners.

Is he injured? what happened to him? not the right time to go scoreless.

Orlando Magic -3.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Just one play for me tonight on the card tonight. I wanted to play on Dallas but the line is a little wide for me to take them even though I like them to win the game and close out the Clippers. So I just played the Magic laying the 3.5 points tonight. They have been the better team in this series imo even though they lost game 5 and are down 3-2. They could have won that game but a great defensive play by the Cavs saved them from facing elimination tonight. The Magic continue to be dominant at home and I expect that to continue tonight against the Cavs because I feel the Magic will play with a sense of urgency with their season on the line. The home team has won every game in this series so I think its smart to take the Magic tonight to force a game 7.

1-0 tonight as the Magic earned a hard fought victory at home and survived Donovan Mitchell dropping 50 on them. Just one game on tomorrow's slate but it's a big one between two heavyweights in Denver and Minnesota. I'll be back with a play or two on the game tomorrow.

Great win, RR!

Minnesota/Denver o208.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

One play today on the lone game on the card and it's on the over in the Minnesota/Denver game. Denver was a dead under team against the Lakers in the last series and Minnesota is an elite defensive team but I see this game going over 208.5 because I see Minnesota as being deeper than the Lakers who scored 106 points a game against the Nuggets in round 1. Minnesota averaged 118 ppg against the Suns and Denver has scored 116 ppg in their last ten games so 208.5 feels a little low for these two teams. I expect this to be a close game that goes down to the wire and I think that plays to the over so that's what I'm on today.

0-1 tonight as I couldn't overcome a slow start by the Nuggets and the total fell short. Nice win by the Wolves though which doesn't shock me although I still think Denver wins this series. It will be intreresting to see what happens in game 2 though because they have problems guarding Anthony Edwards as do most teams. If they can't figure out how to slow him down Minnesota can pull off this series upset especially now that they have home court advantage where they're tough to beat.

Cleveland Cavaliers ML -170 1.70u to win 1u

Just one play for me and it's on the Cavs ML at home. I don't want to lay the points here because I can see this being a one possession game like Game 5 was so I'm going with the Cavs ML. This has been a close series throughout and it simply may just come down to home court advantage since the home team has won every game. I like this Magic team but I don't think they're ready to beat a more experienced Cavs team on the road in a game 7 so I'm taking the Cavs here.

1-0 today as the Cavs rally to take game 7. I don't think either of these teams were going to give Boston much of a run for their money but at least we got home with Cleveland today. It wasn't looking good for a minute but once Cleveland locked in defensively the tide turned and they took the game by margin. Orlando had a good season but like I mentioned they're a year away from winning a game like this because they have to add a few more pieces to help out Paolo Banchero who was phenomenal today in a losing effort.

Denver Nuggets 1H -4 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Just one play today for me as I passed on the Knicks game. I lean New York but I feel like the line is a little wide at -6. The Pacers play a style that the Knicks don't really want to play at and while I do think the Knicks will ultimately win the series I want to wait and see what happens in game 1 before I make any bets on this series because I feel like game 1 might be close.

My play today is on Denver to cover the spread in the first half. This is a bounce back spot for Denver and I think they will make the necessary adjustments to win this game. The full game spread is a little wide for me now that it is -7 and the reason it ballooned to 7 is because Rudy Gobert is listed as questionable for this game. That may be a big deal because Nikola Jokic is probably going to feast with him in the lineup and if he's not in the lineup then I think Denver will feast as a whole on offense. So I'm on Denver to win the first half and I lean to them covering the full game here because this is a must win for them and I think they'll make the adjustments necessary because Mike Malone is a good coach.

0-1 today as Denver was never in the game and is now facing a difficult 0-2 hole going back to Minnesota. I don't know what to say other than Minnesota has clearly been the better team in this series and Denver has been flirting with disaster going all the way back to the Laker series when they trailed at halftime in every game. The difference here is Minnesota is a way better team than the Lakers and it shows in this series where they've outclassed Denver every step of the way. Still a long way to go but this one appears over unless Denver plays a whole lot better in Minnesota.

Boston Celtics 1H -7 -113 1.13u to win 1u
OKC Thunder -3.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Two plays for me on the games tonight. First up I like Boston early and often tonight to jump on the Cavs from the opening tip. They should have no problems with an offensively challenged Cavs team and they're rested so I think they'll be ready to go and handle business in the first half like they so often do at home. The Cavs looked like a team that should have lost to Orlando so I don't expect this series to be remotely close and I think Boston dominates from the jump tonight.

My next play is on OKC to cover at home tonight. While I actually like Dallas to win this series I really like this OKC team and they should be raring to go in game 1 at home. They have the rest advantage and they are dominant at home so I see them taking game 1 here but the reason I like Dallas to win this series is because they will make adjustments and are the veteran team which should come into play later in the series which I see going 6 or 7 games. I think this game though OKC will jump on them and ride the home court advantage to a cover.

Nice to get a couple of no sweat wins in the association as the Celtics and Thunder both blew out their opponents in game 1 at home. In the case of the Celtics they're clearly the better team and if I were them I would do everything to wrap that series up as quickly as possible to get Porzingis added rest because I think they'll end up needing him 100% if they want to win the whole thing.

As for the Thunder they looked like a true number 1 seed and just deeper than the Mavs tonight. I do think this is a long series and the Mavs will bounce back like they did after losing game 1 to the Clippers but one thing I took away from this game is that the Thunder don't necessarily need SGA to go off even though he did tonight because they have so many weapons. That's a problem for Dallas I think because to me if Luka and Kyrie don't play like superstars than Dallas won't win this series because OKC is deeper.
