Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix won’t happen until November, but organizers already have their sights set for 2024 on this prestigious event that will contribute to the excitement of Nevada sports betting.
F1 announced that the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix will be held from November 21 to 23. This much-anticipated race in Southern Nevada is already securing its place as one of the 24 prestigious events featured on F1’s calendar for the year 2024.
“We have plenty of racing to look forward to in 2023, including the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, and our fans can look forward to more excitement next season,” stated Stefano Domenicali, the President and CEO of Formula One, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming races.
Earlier in the year, the Clark County commissioners reached a unanimous agreement to grant official recognition to the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix as an annual event for at least 10 years, with the ultimate goal of establishing it as a permanent fixture. Commission Chairman Jim Gibson expressed optimism, emphasizing their vision for a long-lasting partnership with the event.
Unveiling the 2024 F1 Calendar
With the release of the 2024 F1 calendar, fans and teams alike now have a clear picture of the exciting races that lie ahead. The Las Vegas Grand Prix stands out as a true spectacle, combining the thrill of motorsport with the vibrant and glamorous backdrop of the Entertainment Capital of the World.
The Venue For The Las Vegas Grand Prix
Preparations for this year’s race are going well. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be hosted at a state-of-the-art circuit specially designed for this iconic event.
The race will happen at night on a 3.8-mile track that includes Las Vegas Boulevard, Koval Lane, Harmon Avenue, and Sands Avenue. The drivers will reach up to 212 mph during the 50-lap race. The F1 crew is currently working on constructing the paddock building, which costs $500 million and is located at the northeast corner of Harmon and Koval.
The 2023 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled for November 16-18. The initial track paving is almost finished. The final paving work is expected to start later this summer.
The most prominent problem organizers of this year’s inaugural event may face is finding a place to park all of the private jets. F1 itself has a “billionaire boys club” comprised of team owners with a combined estimated worth of $146 billion. It is expected that all 10 of them will use their own air transportation to the race.
The Southern Nevada Experience
Apart from the race, the Las Vegas Grand Prix offers a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of Southern Nevada. With its breathtaking natural landscapes, world-class entertainment, and vibrant nightlife, Las Vegas has something for everyone.
Visitors can indulge in fine dining, catch a show, or try their luck at the famous casinos, creating memories that extend beyond the racetrack.
The Economic Impact of The Grand Prix
The inclusion of the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the F1 calendar has far-reaching implications for the sport and the city itself. The race will attract a global audience, boosting tourism and bringing substantial economic benefits to the region. Moreover, it solidifies Las Vegas’ position as a premier destination for international sporting events, further enhancing its reputation as a hub of excitement and entertainment.
The VIP packages for the race have already reached extremely high prices, with some exceeding seven figures. In December, Caesars Entertainment introduced its Emperor Package, which comes with a hefty price tag of $5 million.
This exclusive package includes twelve Paddock Club passes for the entire race week, tickets to a concert featuring Adele at Caesars Palace, a luxurious 4,700-square-foot terrace suite with a view of the racetrack for five nights, round-the-clock butler service, and various additional perks.
