Continuing its involvement with Wyoming gambling sites, Intralot renewed its contract with Wyoming Lottery Corporation for another five years. This means that the company will keep monitoring gaming operations in the state until at least August 2034!

The partnership began back in 2014, and then last year Intralot signed a new deal to extend the partnership until August 2029, which has now been further extended by an additional five-year term. So, 2034 will mark a bold 20-year partnership (with a 10-year extension).

Leaders Excited for Contract Extension

Intralot’s continued collaboration with the Wyoming Lottery only strengthens the company’s reputation as a big player in the U.S. gaming market. It touts itself as a tech-savvy company with global experience to help lotteries grow, boost revenues, and give back to their communities.

Intralot CEO, Nikos Nikolakopoulos, had this to say about the extension: “It’s amazing to have the opportunity to continue our work with the Wyoming Lottery. Our goal is to keep providing fun and responsible gaming experiences to everyone in the State. We’re very dedicated to our mission of offering innovative solutions and stellar service. We can’t wait to join forces with the Wyoming Lottery to reach even greater levels of success.”

Jon Clontz, the CEO of Wyoming Lottery Corporation, shared similar sentiments. He emphasized how crucial a lottery’s partnership with a gaming organization is, noting the need for “proven trust, transparency, and mutual respect.” He expressed confidence in Intralot, praising the company’s deep knowledge, dedication, and successful track record.

Wyoming Not the Only State Working With Intralot

Wyoming isn’t the only state where Intralot is making an impact. The company manages the lotteries in several U.S. states, including:

  • Arkansas
  • Georgia
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Louisiana
  • Montana
  • New Hampshire
  • New Mexico
  • Ohio
  • Vermont
  • Washington D.C.

On top of running these lotteries, Intralot also takes care of video lottery machines at seven racetracks in Ohio and 5,500 other places in Georgia. What’s more, Intralot runs a place in Ohio that makes all the instant-win lottery games for the whole state.

Sports Betting Still Big in Big Wyoming

And it’s not just lottery terminals raking in big bucks in Wyoming. Wyoming sports betting is also big.

Wyoming topped $9 million in online sports betting handle in June. This is a bit less than in May when the total was nearly $13 million, but it’s higher than in June of last year when the handle was  $7.32 million. That’s a year-over-year increase in handle and gaming revenue of nearly 30% and more than 15%, respectively.

And the state made more than $775,000 from these bets in June. That’s more than the $673,269 made in June last year.

Cowboy State Riding High With Intralot

That figure just adds to the enormous success Wyoming has seen when it comes to gambling in the state. That’s because the Wyoming Lottery, like many other lotteries in the U.S., pumps most of its earnings right back into cities, towns, and municipalities.

Ever since it launched in 2014, the lottery has made a massive difference, racking up over $33 million! That’s a whole lot of money that’s gone straight back into cities, towns, and counties all across the state. So, the renewed relationship with Intralot is expected to only build on the success Wyoming has seen so far.
