The computer crime department of the Israeli Police raided the offices of Walla!, one of the most popular websites in Israel, because it suspected that the site had been advertising online gambling websites.
The investigation began after the Attorney General and the State Prosecutor’s Office instructed the Police to act against websites that post internet advertising for gambling websites.
Police said that Walla! had advertisements for BeTheDealer Casino and King Solomon Casino.
Walla! said in a statement to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that it will fully cooperate with the investigation. The company also noted that its revenue from advertising of gambling sites was not significant.
