A trial date has been set for May 10 in the case against BetUS and three other companies, following an evidentiary hearing during which federal prosecutors showed how Gateway Technologies and Hill Financial Services of Draper, Utah, provided services to disguise credit card transactions as something other than gambling, to assist internet gambling websites in having their gambling transactions authorized by Visa and MasterCard issuing banks.

According to the indictment, the three companies and seven people charged in the case also operated a second system which allowed bettors in the United States to deposit funds at over 40 online gambling websites sending Western Union wire transfers to people in the Philippines .
