The Isle of Man-based sportsbook announced that is on target to launch a new version of its website prior to next month\’s soccer World Cup. Following the previously announced strategy to widen the customer reach of the sportsbook, Betinternet.com can now accept wagers from customers based in the United States.
In addition to the sportsbook, the website will include a new random number generator casino, as well as a suite of fixed odds games, which are expected to contribute significantly to the group\’s revenues.
Shares in Betinternet.com closed the day up over 30% at 12p.
Also this week, Betinternet announced the appointment of Simon Nicholls as an Executive Director with responsibility for the group\’s pari-mutuel operation, European Wagering Services.
Elsewhere, David Boden has stepped down as Executive Director of the Rank Group. He will also leave his post as Managing Director of the gaming division. Chief Executive Ian Burke will take day-to-day control of the group\’s casino, bingo and Blue Square betting businesses.
