According to William Hill, this year’s Big Brother in the UK is set to spark a £10m betting bonanza, double the amount wagered on previous series.
The UK bookmaker predicts the Channel 4 show will lead to the biggest betting spree in reality TV history when it kicks off next week.
“In the space of five years, reality TV betting has become a multi-million pound industry and is the bet of choice for many punters who feel that, as they are the judge of who wins, then surely they know as much as the bookies,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
