The betting exchange has signed a MoU with FIFA Early Warning System Ltd, a company incorporated by FIFA to monitor betting activity in relation to the 2006 World Cup. This agreement will operate in the same manner as those previously signed by Betfair with a variety of sporting regulatory bodies.
In separate news, Betfair launched World Cup Betting Zone, a World Cup product that integrates betting with news and stats to deliver the ultimate tournament betting experience. “With all eyes on the World Cup and so much information available for fans, Betfair wanted to design a product which integrated all information about the tournament while providing the best value for punters,” said a spokesperson for the betting exchange.
