Germany forbids Starbet\’s commercials

An injunction requested by Nordwest Lotto Hamburg and based on a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court is preventing Cologne-based RTL Television from broadcasting commercials advertising Austrian bookmaker Starbet, in which RTL has a 30% stake via its subsidiary RTL Interactive. RTL and Starbet also offer services and information related to betting through online portal RTLstarbet.de.
