Bodog Marketing Conference postponed

Bodog cancelled its annual conference in Las Vegas amid overwhelming concerns from attendees following the recent high profile arrest and indictment of BetonSports Chief Executive David Carruthers.

“In the last few days, many who planned to attend the conference have expressed a high level of concern over the uncertainty surrounding the US government\’s recent actions against one of the companies in our industry. It is in light of these concerns that we have decided to postpone the Bodog.com Marketing Conference to a later date and at an international location,” said Bodog in a statement.

Elsewhere, online gaming software developer Playtech has assured investors that it does not provide sports betting software explaining that its operations are the supply of “licensed software to operators in online casino, poker and bingo markets.”

The Board of UKbetting reiterated that it is the group\’s longstanding policy not to take wagers from the United States.

The Directors of Interactive Gaming Holdings, parent company of Premierbet and Heathorns, have also reiterated their long standing policy of not taking wagers from the US. The company operates predominantly in the UK and emerging markets, where online gaming is entirely legal.

The Directors of Gaming VC would like to emphasise that the firm has no online operations in the US and does not transact any wagering activity on behalf of players in the United Stares.
