The state-owned lottery operator sent an official note to Boca Juniors in which it warned the soccer team that Bwin is not allowed to offer or promote sports bets in Argentina. The National Lottery also demanded the club to explain the terms of the sponsorship deal with the Austria-based sports betting firm and informed the local soccer federation that Boca would be participating in the promotion of sports betting, an activity which is banned in Argentina.
