Genting secures control of Stanley Leisure

The Malaysian conglomerate has acquired control of the UK’s largest casino operator after its offer became unconditional with its stake raised to about 69.4%. While Genting announced it intends to expand Stanley\’s business in the soon-to-be deregulated UK casino industry, it is not clear what will happen to Stanley\’s International Betting division, which has betting interests in Italy, Belgium, Germany, Croatia and Romania.
