Following the passing in the United States of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, and after extensive discussions with lawyers, bankers and other advisers, the Board of Leisure and Gaming said it will no longer be appropriate for the company to serve US-based customers.

Leisure & Gaming is undertaking a strategic review in order to decide whether to suspend, close or sell its US operations, including VIP.com, BetGameDay.com, Nine.com, MyBookie.com and BetCom.com, while the company will focus solely on its existing UK and Italian businesses.
