The FA announced that it will investigate claims of a former employee of Gibraltar-based Victor Chandler that four Premiership big-names have been betting on the outcome of soccer matches, with one said to have placed bets totalling £12 million in one year alone.
According to the former employee of the online bookmaker Victor Chandler, another Premiership boss wagered over £3 million in a year and two Premiership stars are also big gamblers. The worker also said he has “screenshots” of the bets placed by the bosses and players.
“We will investigate these reports to see if there has been any breach of our regulations and we would welcome any information that would help our inquiries,” a spokesman for the Football Association said.
