Antigua\’s Director of Gaming Kaye McDonald and Ambassador Colin Murdoch hope that changes in the House of Representatives and the Senate will lead to new opportunities for the internet gambling industry and that the new Democratic Congress will consider the possibility of amending the online gambling ban.
Elsewhere, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has amended its regulations to prevent its permit holders from providing odds or any other information related to sporting events and from conducting betting over the telephone or any other device. The new regulations wiil force the online sportsbooks currently based in Kahnawake, including Sportsinteraction and BetUS, to re-locate to a different betting jurisdiction.
Eduardo Agami, President of the Costa Rican Electronic Gambling Association, is lobbying the Government to work out a plan to regulate online casinos and make the online gambling sector accountable to its clients and employees.
