Paddy Power pays out on the wrong Gore

The Irish bookmaker, which recently opened a book on the next high profile American to be arrested, was forced to pay out £7,000 to punters who bet on Al Gore. Paddy Power failed to identify which Gore it meant, so when the former vice-president’s son, Al Gore III, was arrested for possession of marijuana and prescription drugs, the Irish betting firm decided to pay.
