Just as egaming specialist Graham Wood said that more and more European markets seem to be ready to open up as a result of their analysis of economic realities, French Budget Minister Eric Woerth announced that France is ready to consider loosening the monopoly on horse racing betting held by Pari Mutuel Urbain, but not to allow fixed odds betting, “Operators apart from the PMU could be accepted, but we want to keep the principle of pari-mutuel,” said Woerth.
