The semi-finals of the WTA Finals Singapore take place this Saturday with only four players left in competition. Bookmakers Review breaks down the fixtures below and lists the best available odds from Green Listed Bookmaker.
Kuznetsova vs. Cibulkova
Dominika Cibulkova couldn’t ask for a better debut in Singapore with the Slovak already in the semi-finals. Known as an extraordinary competitor, Cibulkova secured a place at this stage of the competition after a terrific straight-sets victory over Simona Halep. Dominika point out her mental strength as the key to her success since she could only qualify for the semi-finals with a 2 – 0 victory over Halep, exactly what she did.
Svetlana Kuznetsova featured one of the strangest match ever against Garbine Muguruza, losing that contest by 6 – 3 0 – 6 1 – 6. Both players had their faith already sealed before that match, which clearly affected their performances. After that encounter, Svetlana said that it wasn’t easy for her to deal with the situation, especially since she’s experiencing some fatigue after playing so much tennis in the last two weeks.
These two players know each other well and even though Kuznetsova is playing at a superb level lately, it won’t be easy for the Russian to present herself at the top of her game this Saturday. With this in mind, the value is clearly on Dominika’s odds at 8/10 at William Hill while Pinnacle offers you the best price on Kuznetsova at 5/4.
Kerber vs Radwanska
The two main favourites to lift the trophy in Singapore will fight for a place in the final this Saturday – Angelique Kerber and Agnieszka Radwanska.
Kerber continues her successful run in 2016 and after winning two Grand Slam events – Australian Open and US Open – the German is just two wins away from claiming the WTA Finals. Angelique said that she’s feeling extremely confident about her game and that her performance against Madison Keys was definitely her best match in Singapore.
Radwanska featured a very interesting match this Friday against Karolina Pliskova with both players fighting for a place in the semi-finals. Despite Pliskova’s strong start, Agnieszka bounced back with a high quality performance, emerging victorious by 7 – 5 6 – 3. Known for her outstanding return to serve, Radwanska ended the match with impressive numbers, winning 46.15% of the points played on Pliskova’s serve.
This should be an epic battle between two of the greatest competitors in the game. However, Angelique is clearly at a higher level and she should be too strong for the Polish. For that reason, Kerber is the right play on this match at 14/25 at Pinnacle while Radwanska can be found at 3/2 at Bet365.
