The Premier League returned with a bang last weekend with 31 goals and its usual controversy with three red cards in what was a fantastic start to the new campaign.
The big news came from Stamford Bridge where Premier League title holders Chelsea found themselves 3-0 down to Burnley at half-time, before finally losing 3-2 and ending the game with just nine men after captain Gary Cahil and Cesc Fabregas were both shown a red.
That defeat has seen Blues\’ boss Antonio Conte slashed in the next manager to go market to 4.50 favorite with some layers and his side pushed out to 8.50 to successfully defend their title.
Conte isn\’t happy with the lack of money available to him to bring in desperately needed fresh blood and his side will be tested at the weekend when they travel to Wembley to face Tottenham. Both Cahill and Fabregas are suspended for the London derby and they will also be missing the services of want away striker Diego Costa and playmaker Eden Hazard and when you take that quartet out of the champions side I am surprised that they are as short as 3.50 for the win.
Spurs\’ started off win a comfortable 2-0 win at Newcastle and despite not hitting top form at St James\’ Park they still looked rock solid at the back and always offered a goal threat and in their first Premier League game at an expectant Wembley, at what looks a perfect time to face their arch-rivals the 2.10 with some of our green listed bookmakers on Spurs\’ to win looks a spot of value.
In the weekend\’s other matches, the team that has done me more favours than anyone else last season is Burnley who look big at 2.60 with William Hill when West Brom visit Turf Moor.\’
The Claret\’s had an excellent home record last season winning more home matches than any bottom half side and they will be full of confidence going into this after their famous win at Stamford Bridge against a West Brom side that didn\’t impress, despite getting maximum points against Bournemouth last week.
Stoke , are my fancy for relegation this season and I can\’t see them getting anything when they host Arsenal at the Bet365 stadium.
Stoke barely registered a shot in their 1-0 defeat at Everton and Arsenal managed to score four in a 4-3 thriller with Leicester and the Gunners\’ should be far too strong at 1.80 with Coral.
So my “Know The Score” parlay this week is Tottenham, Burnley and Arsenal.
Good Luck.
