The NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday night in Indiana’s home stadium. Who should we expect to win the All-Star Game MVP this season? I’ve got three choices, with the first being the best bet for you to play at top-rated online sportsbooks.

NBA All-Star Game

Sunday, February 18, 2024 – 08:00 PM ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Tyrese Haliburton

Since 2011, only one player has won back-to-back All-Star Game MVPs. However, we have seen Kevin Durant win the award twice in different years.

It’s typically a starter that wins the MVP, just based on the fact that those guys will likely get more minutes.

Jayson Tatum won the All-Star MVP last year. Before that, it was Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.

The guys that win the MVP are notable players who are beloved by fans.

However, this year, I think it’ll be Tyrese Haliburton. He’s had enough time to get ramped back up. Haliburton just played 30 minutes against the Knicks and shot 7-for-14 from the field. He scored 22 points, which is right around his average. His hamstring injury is one of the reasons why he’s averaging just 22.1 points per game.

Betting Insight

However, he’s one of the best scorers in the game and is playing on his home court.

The fans will be cheering him out and hoping he plays to close out the game. Haliburton is a terrific passer but also a tremendous scorer. He’s likely not going to hunt rebounds, but nobody really does in these games anyway.

If Haliburton were to add a double-double with assists and some big-time threes, it’s likely that he would become the favorite to win the award. If it’s a tight race between Haliburton and another player, it’ll probably go to Haliburton, knowing the game is being played in Indiana’s home arena.

At +1400, Haliburton is an interesting bet.

The only thing that would stop me from betting on him here is his hamstring injury. However, as long as he plays all of the other games on the Indiana schedule before the All-Star Game, I’m confident he’ll play a solid portion of the All-Star Game.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic leads the NBA in points per game, scoring 34.5 points a night. He’s added 8.8 rebounds and 9.4 assists and is shooting over 49% on the season.

Doncic can get hot and put on a show.

In his last game against the Thunder, Doncic added 32 points with nine assists and eight rebounds, after shooting 9-for-14 from the floor.

Doncic doesn’t force anything. Even in his 70+ point performance, he didn’t force his shots. Sometimes that’s a good thing. He’ll take his shots when he’s got an open look. He just understands the game more than most players in the league.

Star-Studded Synergy

In February, Doncic is close to earning a triple-double per game. He’s scored 33 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per night in the last five games.

That’s pure entertainment from the Dallas guard.

With Doncic playing alongside LeBron James and Nikola Jokic, it’s likely Doncic will get plenty of looks. Neither of those other two guys will be hunting shots anymore. LeBron is over trying hard in the All-Star Game, and Jokic is a passing magician in these All-Star Games.

Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will likely be shy in taking shots away from everyone else and Kevin Durant is likely also over this game. He’s already won multiple MVPs.

Now it’s Doncic’s turn to win one.

Stephen Curry

People are always sleeping on Steph Curry.

He won the MVP in 2022 and is capable of winning it in any All-Star Game due to his three-point shooting.

Curry won’t be starting this year, despite his 10th selection into the NBA All-Star Game. However, if he gets hot from downtown and starts to make some ridiculous threes, it’s over for everyone else when it comes to the MVP.

Curry changed the game with his three-point shooting.

He’s had some incredible moments from deep in the All-Star Game. He also knows how to put on a show.

Consider backing Curry to win the NBA All-Star Game MVP at +1200. It’s a fun longshot for a player coming off the bench. However, Curry has done it all in the All-Star Game. Coming off the bench won’t disrupt him once he’s on the court.

Playing the backups might help Curry get some good shots off.
