The 2025 NFL Draft is just over 2 weeks away with the 1st round taking place April 24, 2025. There are many betting markets available at the top-rated sportsbooks, and today, we are looking for the best value in draft position bets found at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review).
The available bets range from chalkier plays like over 2.5 quarterbacks drafted in the 1st round (-350) and Ashton Jeanty to be the 1st running back drafted (-5000) to more coin-flip decisions such as a player’s over/under draft slot or the first offensive lineman drafted.
We have identified our 3 favorite value plays for the 2025 NFL Draft.
First Wide Receiver Drafted (Excluding Travis Hunter)
With the draft this year, there’s a unique player in Travis Hunter, who wants to play corner and wide receiver in the NFL just like he did at Colorado when he won the Heisman Trophy this past season.
His NFL team may or may not let him do that, but for the purpose of these betting markets, they are excluding Hunter from the first corner and first wide receiver drafted odds. They want to know the first wideout not named Hunter to get drafted, and the leader for that is Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan (-190) over Matthew Golden (+170).
McMillan has been very productive with 1,402 and 1,319 yards in his last 2 seasons at Arizona, where he didn’t necessarily have pro-caliber quarterback play feeding him the ball.
McMillan’s Moment
This wide receiver class is not nearly as talented or deep as 2024’s historic class, but McMillan is the consensus No. 1 receiver in the 2025 class. He could fit in as a team’s WR1 this season, or he could be a very good WR2 behind a great receiver.
In fact, the Dallas Cowboys, who own the No. 12 pick, have often been linked to McMillan as a way to give Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb more help at a position they’re not deep at.
Matthew Golden is about the only other wide receiver that’s close to a sure thing for a 1st-round pick in this draft, but he’s not nearly as close to McMillan as last year’s race at the top between Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze, who all went in the top 10 picks.
There could be a considerable gap between where McMillan and Golden go, but McMillan should hear his name called 1st on draft night among the non-Hunter wideouts.

Mykel Williams Draft Position
Mykel Williams from Georgia is one of the standout edge rushers in this draft class. He has peaked as high as No. 10 on the consensus big board at NFL Mock Draft Database, where he currently ranks as the No. 16 prospect in the entire draft this year.
That’s fitting, because Williams has a draft position of over/under 15.5 right now with a slight push towards the over (-130).
However, this feels like a good spot to take the under for some value. Last year, the Atlanta Falcons were heavily favored to make edge rusher Dallas Turner from Alabama their top pick and the top defender off the board with the No. 8 pick in the 2024 draft.
But as we all remember, draft night was a stunner when the Falcons used that No. 8 pick on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. despite the fact that they signed Kirk Cousins to a 4-year deal worth $180 million last March. Turner didn’t go until much later to the Vikings as the top 14 picks were all on offense in the 2024 draft.
Well, the Falcons suffered on defense without a young edge rusher in place for coach Raheem Morris, and this year’s draft would be a perfect spot to correct that potential wrong by using the No. 15 pick on Mykel Williams, who they should have gotten a great look at as he played for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Williams would fit Morris’ defense well, and even if the Falcons don’t take him, don’t sleep on other teams being interested too before the No. 15 pick, such as:
- The Panthers
- The Bears
- The 49ers
- The Dolphins
This draft should be a push towards beefing up the pass rush after the way everyone saw the Eagles crush the Chiefs in the Super Bowl with a 4-man rush. If the Falcons want to make the playoffs for the first time since 2017, they’ll need to build up the trenches this year, and Williams makes the most sense for them at No. 15.

First Offensive Lineman Drafted
Most positions are pretty sorted on which player should go first, including:
- Cam Ward at quarterback
- Ashton Jeanty at running back
- Tyler Warren at tight end.
However, the closest battle right now may be at offensive lineman, where Will Campbell (LSU) and Armand Membou (Missouri) are neck and neck right now.
Membou is a very slight favorite with -120 odds compared to -115 for Campbell to be the first offensive lineman drafted. But Campbell is most often linked to the Patriots, who hold the No. 4 pick, while the Jets (No. 7) are a favorite landing spot for Membou.
For what it’s worth, draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. has mocked Campbell to the Patriots at No. 4, and Campbell is ranked one spot higher than Membou as the No. 7 prospect at NFL Mock Draft Database.
With the recent draft news and betting odds, it’s starting to look like the top 3 picks will be some order of quarterback Cam Ward (Titans) followed by the Browns and Giants choosing between edge rusher Abdul Carter and dual-threat Travis Hunter.
If the Patriots can’t get Hunter or a top pass rusher like Carter, then giving young Drake Maye a franchise left tackle could be the smartest move for a team that’s often drafted prospects from successful programs like LSU. New coach Mike Vrabel also comes from Tennessee, where he had a good line leading the way for Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry when the team was successful.
It feels like solid value that the Patriots may be going Campbell here at No.4, but either way, Campbell over Membou is the pick, regardless of whether it’s New England or another team.
