Bay Hill is always a demanding test, and if the weather is mixed, there are often strong winds for the players to contend with, along with challenging bunkering and water hazards in play on nine holes.
The conditions often mean that Europeans play well at Bay Hill and contend, although Tiger Woods was close to unbeatable here when in his pomp, winning on a phenomenal eight occasions. Interestingly, early weather forecasts predict calm conditions on the opening three days and a difficult Sunday with the wind getting stronger as the final round progresses.

Is it the case that in 2025, Sahith Theegala is slowly but surely finding his best form? If that’s the case, then readers have the opportunity to bet the young Californian this week at a big value price.
The beauty of golf betting is that it is a long season for the PGA Tour pros, full of ebbs and flows in form. Indeed, watching the new Netflix series last week reminded me how brilliant the twenty-seven-year-old has been in recent seasons.

Will Tommy Be the Best of the Europeans?
In the course notes, we cited how European players are very competitive in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, particularly in recent seasons, as Tyrrell Hatton, Francesco Molinari and Rory McIlroy have all won, along with Lee Westwood and Viktor Hovland, who both returned runner-up honours.
This year, it looks obvious that Ludvig Aberg will also be contending along with McIlroy. However, we are looking further down the board and taking popular Englishman Tommy Fleetwood.
The thirty-four-year-old has contended prominently here in the last decade with three top 10 finishes, and with Sunday’s forecast looking difficult, it could be the perfect year for Fleetwood’s mastery of ball flight to be the difference. The key will be getting himself close enough to the lead for that skill to bear fruit, but after finishing 4th at the Genesis Invitational, he is coming off his best week of 2025.
Tommy Fleetwood’s consistency here at Bay Hill and in difficult conditions means that we can recommend him with a small bet on him winning the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
