Best Oasis Reunion 2025 Prop Bets: Will the Gallagher Brothers Keep It Together?

Oasis Band
Table of Contents

Some of us are still happily stuck in the 1990s when it comes to music, so the announcement of an Oasis reunion tour in 2025 is a welcome sight. The Britpop duo of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher created some of the most seminal songs of that era, but they have not done a live appearance together since 2009 when Oasis split.

But a lot can happen between now and next July given the brothers’ tumultuous past. That’s why there are several interesting prop bets available at BetOnline, a top-rated sportsbook, for this Oasis reunion tour. Let’s take a look at some of the best props available.

From Breakup to Comeback

You may recall that it was Noel, the older brother, who left the message on the band’s website about Oasis breaking up. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,” wrote Noel in 2009.

But almost 15 years to the date of their split, the band announced Oasis Live ’25 Tour on August 27, 2024. Tickets went on sale in frenzied fashion for what has become 19 shows, which are set to take place in Wales, England, Scotland, and Ireland next summer beginning on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff (Wales) and concluding at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 28.

Will Oasis Play Live on July 4, 2025?

Right off the bat, BetOnline has odds for whether or not the Gallagher brothers will be able to play their 1st show in Wales on July 4, 2025:

  • Yes (-1000)
  • No (+500)

There have been bigger tours than this cancelled before a date was even played. Michael Jackson’s ill-fated “This Is It” tour never happened as the singer died from a propofol overdose 18 days before the opening show.

These brothers have their issues, but we have to believe they’ll get their act together to play live for their 1st show on July 4, 2025, at Principality Stadium.

Liam’s First Word on July 4, 2025

We’re all in on the brothers playing their 1st show, but you can also bet at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review) on what Liam’s 1st word to the crowd will be. There are 12 options listed:

First WordOddsBetOnline
F*ck(+250)
Alright(+300)
Hello(+400)
Oasis(+400)
Come(+450)
How(+500)
Let’s(+500)
Have(+500)
We(+500)
It’s(+500)
Guess(+600)
Who(+600)

It’s always possible that none of these hit as it’s not hard to imagine words not listed such as “You’re” or “I” being said right away by Liam. Opening with the ultimate expletive would be funny, but it’s hard to believe that’s the odds-on favorite. “Hello” also seems a bit too formal for an Oasis reunion show.

I think “Alright” at +300 odds is the best option on the high end. “We” can also be one of the best picks here if he’s going to talk about the band as a whole, and “Who” is decent value if he decides to address the crowd before anything else.

But if I had to choose one, I’d go with “We” as in “We haven’t done this in 15 f***ing years.”

Which Song Does Oasis Play First?

This is seemingly also for the July 4, 2025 show, but BetOnline has a market for which song Oasis will play 1st. They have 14 choices listed ranging from Rock n Roll Star (+100) to hits like Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and Live Forever all tied with +1200 odds.

You want to open the show with a crowd pleaser, but you’re definitely not busting out a huge hit that everyone came to hear. So, you’re definitely not playing Wonderwall or Don’t Look Back in Anger on the 1st song.

The last time Oasis played live was August 22, 2009, at V Festival in England. Their 1st song was in fact Rock n Roll Star. That was consistently the opening track they played at their 2008-09 shows around the world, and it was also their opener in their 1st show in 2004, and it was their opener at the Glastonbury Festival in 2004.

Liam even just played Rock n Roll Star at a live event in Wembley Stadium without his brother:

However, that doesn’t mean they always play Rock n Roll Star right away. Their opener for the 2005-06 shows was Turn Up the Sun, which has +1000 odds at BetOnline.

But at the end of the day, I agree with playing Rock n Roll Star, the opening track from their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, makes the most sense to begin the show. But Turn Up the Sun with +1000 odds would be a good sleeper choice.

Liam or Noel a No-Show for the First 10 Gigs?

BetOnline has a yes-only market on whether or not either brother will miss an entire gig during one of the first 10 shows. The “Yes” has +500 odds.

You have to think the show would be cancelled or rescheduled if one of the brothers couldn’t show, but that should also count for hitting the bet. Here is the breakdown of the first 10 shows:

  • July 4 in Cardiff
  • July 5 in Cardiff
  • July 11 in Manchester
  • July 12 in Manchester
  • July 16 in Manchester
  • July 19 in Manchester
  • July 20 in Manchester
  • July 25 in London
  • July 26 in London
  • July 30 in London

So, we are looking at a span of 4 weeks with 3 cities and 2 countries. You have to think if they can get through the first 2 shows and get to England for the next groupings, they will get through this fine.

A rumor is this tour is happening because Noel had to pay 20 million pounds in his divorce, so he needs the money. Missing shows would not help with that. I wouldn’t take any action on this market.

Will Liam & Noel Fight on Stage?

There is also a market at BetOnline for one of the brothers getting arrested for drug possession, but let’s keep it cool and about the stage only. They also have a market about whether Liam and Noel will get into a physical fight on the stage. The “Yes” is +1000 and there is no choice for no.

It wouldn’t be unheard of, right? We recently saw Jane’s Addiction get into a little fight on the stage when Perry Fewell went after Dave Navarro at a show:

While there are many documented stories of physical fights between the Gallagher brothers, we haven’t really seen it come to blows on the stage. It was always more of a backstage or in the recording studio type of thing between them.

We’re going to hope that with both men in their 50s, maybe they can bury the hatchet and keep their cool to get through these 19 shows without a fight. But I said maybe.

This tour can be a huge payday for them, something neither has likely had since their split. Remember, don’t look back in anger, guys.
