In his last outing, Civale allowed two runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings to the lowly Marlins in a 7-3 loss on Saturday.

Rookie DJ Herz (1-4, 4.79 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) will make the 10th start of his MLB career on Saturday after another solid start last Sunday against the Cardinals in which he allowed two runs on three hits over five full innings in a 4-3 loss. Herz has been a tough-luck pitcher in his debut season with either a lack of run support or blown efforts by the bullpen.
