Eubank Jr. vs. Benn Analysis & Betting Prediction
There’s no denying the nostalgia, bad blood, and heated rivalry that’s about to be rejuvenated in the Eubank versus Benn clash, but additionally, it’s an intriguing bout to approach from a betting perspective.
As the larger man with a more athletic, imposing frame, Eubank Jr. has been a middleweight competitor for the majority of his career. The level of competition he’s faced to date has been significantly higher than that of Benn.
A red flag on the side of Eubank, however, is the fact that he’s no spring chicken, and his chin has been checked on multiple occasions. It wasn’t so long ago that Liam Smith got him out inside four rounds, and his performance against a mediocre Kamil Szeremeta was nothing to run home about.
In contrast, Benn has never struggled with his durability. However, a quick look back on his career shows a continuous trend, and that’s a list of opponents who’ve been smaller and far from powerful punchers. Come Saturday, Benn will face the biggest and hardest hitter in his career, and it’ll also be the first time he gets smashed by 10-oz gloves in the middleweight division.
The biggest talking point around this fight is the weight. Will a young, lighter Benn utilize his speed and make his mark early in the fight, reminiscent of Smith? Or does Eubank have too much length and power that will keep the smaller man from having his way?

Eubank Jr. vs. Benn: The Over 8.5 Rounds Hold Value
The available odds at Bookmakers Review are fair, and some will see value in the moneyline. However, when I look across the board at the most valuable play, the over 8.5 rounds is screaming out to be wagered on.
Benn will keep a high pace and force the bigger man in Eubank to work every minute of every round. It will be risky based on Eubank’s popping jab and decent reaction times for his age, but to hang around and let the more experienced fighter take control will only result in misery.
With so much pressure for both fighters to win, and a smaller man in Benn that doesn’t really have the power to one-punch knockout foes early on, backing this fight to reach the later rounds feels like a safe bet.
We know Benn has a granite chin, and I can envision older, more seasoned Eubank slowing down in the second half of the fight. That said, I wouldn’t put it past the experienced fighter in Eubank walking out triumphant. Either way, whoever wins, they’ll most likely be doing it via decision or an 11th or 12th-round stoppage.
