Indiana Pacers vs. Orlando Magic
Wednesday, November 13, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Kia Center
The Orlando Magic were in action Tuesday night for an NBA Cup game against the Charlotte Hornets. Now they turn around and host the Indiana Pacers.
Pacers Heat Up
Indiana started slow this season but has been playing better as of late. They have won three of their last four games, including an 11-point victory over the Knicks on Sunday.
After the slow start, Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton has played well. With Haliburton back to his All-Star form, the Pacers are once again becoming the team that did so well last season. The Pacers did beat the Magic 118-111 at home last Wednesday.
Magic Try to Stay Competitive
The Orlando Magic were looking to be one of the top teams in the league before the injury to the all-star forward Paolo Banchero. Without Banchero in the lineup, the Magic struggled, losing four straight games. They then followed that with two straight wins, albeit against 2 of the NBA’s weaker teams, the New Orleans Pelicans and the Washington Wizards.
The Magic are an excellent defensive team. The Magic are second in the league in points against at 106.3 points per game.
Siakam’s Two-Way Showdown
Indiana is going to need a big game from forward Pascal Siakam. He leads the team in scoring at 20 points per game. He also averages 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Most importantly, Pascal Siakam is the Pacers’ best, most versatile defender.
Siakam will probably be charged with the tough task of slowing down Orlando forward Franz Wagner. The Pacers are counting on a big effort from Siakam on both ends in order to get the win tonight.
Indiana is going to want to get out and run in this game and put the Orlando Magic defense to the test. The Magic are excellent in the half-court setting so getting stops and getting out in transition will be key for the Indiana Pacers in this game.
Indiana’s Momentum
With the Pacers coming into form right now, I like them to be able to get the win against the Orlando team missing their best player and on a back-to-back.
The best bet for this game is the Indiana Pacers -2.

Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks
Wednesday, November 13, 2024 – 07:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden
This is another game where the home team is on a back-to-back. The New York Knicks faced the Philadelphia 76ers last night in an NBA Cup game. Now they face the potential let-down spot against the lowly Chicago Bulls.
Defying Expectations
Chicago is a team that came into the season without high expectations. The Bulls are playing pretty good basketball so far this season with a record of 4-7. While this record does not seem to be that good, the Bulls were expected to be one of the worst teams in the league.
If the season were to end today the Chicago Bulls would be in the play-in tournament, as they are currently ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Chicago is a team that will try to outscore you. The Chicago Bulls are not very good defensively but they have plenty of excellent offensive players. Zach Lavine, Nikola Vucevic and Josh Giddey are all stellar offensive players. Coby White also provides a timely offensive burst off the bench and is another player who can score in bunches at any time.
The Bulls are definitely a team that is all offense, but in the regular season, against tired teams, sometimes that’s all you need.
Fade the Fatigue
After last night’s huge matchup against the rival Philadelphia 76ers, I would not be surprised to see the Knicks let down against the Bulls tonight. The Bulls can score efficiently against unsuspecting teams and a tired Knicks team might not be able to keep pace with the fast offensive style of the Chicago Bulls.
While the Knicks will most likely win this game, the point spread of 9 points is way too much for a Chicago Bulls team that can attack defenses with variety from many different players on the offensive end. Once again we’re going to fade the tired team and take the Chicago Bulls +9.
NBA Pick: Chicago Bulls +9 (-110) at BetOnline
