We have a big slate in the NBA tonight featuring two exciting games that will be nationally televised. Let’s take a look at these two exciting matchups to find winning NBA picks at the top-rated sportsbooks.

Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Monday, March 10, 2025 – 08:00 PM ET at Paycom Center

The Denver Nuggets will get a chance at revenge when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. Yesterday afternoon, the Thunder defeated the Nuggets 127-103. It was a close, competitive game until the Thunder ran away with it in the fourth quarter, winning the fourth quarter 41-20.

No Answer for Shai’s Speed

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was huge in the win, scoring 40 points. The Nuggets do not have a wing defender who is fast enough to stay in front of Shai, and he exploited that weakness. The defender that had the most success on Shai was Russell Westbrook, but the Thunder were able to easily navigate away from that, using the pick and roll.

When Shai had a defender who was not Westbrook, he was able to get a quality shot on his primary defender without using offensive action. It’s hard to see what the Nuggets will be able to do differently to stop Alexander.

Thunderstruck, but Not Out

Still, all is not lost for the Nuggets as they did have a good game offensively until the 4th quarter. Similar to Alexander, the Thunder have a similar matchup problem with Nikola Jokic. Isaiah Hartenstein can do a pretty good job against Jokic, but Chet Holmgren is too small and thin.

For the Nuggets to get the win, or at least cover, they will need to do a little better job defensively and stay more consistent offensively. Although they don’t have a good strategy to slow down Alexander, this could be done by limiting the other Thunder players and the Nuggets do have the personnel to do that.

The Pick

As tough as it is to fathom after watching how dominant the Thunder looked in the fourth quarter last night, I think the Nuggets bounce back tonight with a cover and maybe even a straight-up win.

In this game, we will bet the zig zag. Take the Denver Nuggets.

New York Knicks vs. Sacramento Kings

Monday, March 10, 2025 – 10:30 PM ET at Golden 1 Center

The New York Knicks are hobbled and the Sacramento Kings are going to be tired after last night’s tough overtime loss against the Clippers.

The Kings had their chance to put it away late, but Zach LaVine’s shot jumped in and out and then Kawhi Leonard’s shot fell through the hoop for the Kings. The Kings will try to bounce back after another heartbreaking, close loss. They just can’t get it done in close games.

The Knicks are also coming off a loss to the Clippers. They last played on Friday night, so they will have a rest advantage. They will be without their team leader tonight, Jalen Brunson. That means they will run their offense through Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges.

Running on Empty

This is a tough battle between two teams that are not playing well right now.

The Knicks have had three losses in a row. They have also traveled a lot this month, with only one home game in March. On March 2nd, they played in Miami. Then, on March 4th, they headed home to take on the Warriors and they’ve been on the road ever since.

The schedule makers did the Knicks no favors.  As well as being injured, they have to be suffering from fatigue.

A Royal Mess

The Kings have been a mess since the trade of De’Aaron Fox.

Fox blasted the team in interviews, claiming he was scapegoated for the firing of head coach Mike Brown, who Fox claims he wanted to stay. When Fox found out Brown was fired, he told the Kings,”I don’t want a new coach; I want a new team.” That was a great line from the star PG!

The Kings are worried that Domantas Sabonis will ask out of this clearly dysfunctional organization. They need to finish the season strong or there could be a disaster brewing this offseason.

The Pick

Even though the Kings have the short-term rest disadvantage, overall, this is a terrible scheduling spot for the Knicks.

I think the Kings will finally bounce back. Plus, the Kings are catching 2.5 points, so if they lose another heartbreaking game, they will still cover the spread. The Knicks, without Brunson, could be in trouble.

Take the Sacramento Kings +2.5.
