Top NHL Pick: Penguins ML (+160) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
Tonight’s NHL betting card looks very tasty indeed, with some exciting matchups taking place. We have selected two plus-money bets for tonight’s card.
Firstly we pay a visit to Toronto, where we are betting on Mitch Marner to continue his scoring streak. Elsewhere, the Penguins look to target a possible road victory over a struggling NY Rangers.
Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Marner On Fire Right Now
It’s been a season to remember for Mitch Marner, he is scoring points almost nightly and is currently the 3rd highest points scorer in the NHL. Marner also ranks 3rd overall in the assists tables.
Marner has been on fire lately, scoring three points in his previous game, he has also scored 2+ points in 10 of his previous 12 games and we are looking to target his points total again tonight.
More so we love the fact Mitch Marner has scored the majority of his points on home ice having had 25 points in 15 games, he has only scored 11 thus far on the road.
Marner Trends & Facts
- Mitch Marner is the 3rd highest points scorer thus far this season with a return of 36 points in 25 games.
- Marner has scored 2+ points in 8 of his previous 9 games.
- Marner has scored at least one point in 18 of 25 games this season.
The Pick
The plus money available on Marner to score 2+ points for the 11th time in 13 games is too good to be true, we would happily bet this number down to +100.
Despite the fact that Washington has a strong defense, Marner tends to be involved in most of the Maple Leafs’ goals, and we expect them to score a minimum of three tonight.
Marner scored three points in his previous game and we believe he can get two tonight at plus money.
NHL Pick: Mitch Marner Over 1.5 Points (+115) at BetOnline
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Rangers
Friday, December 06, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Madison Square Garden
Rangers Struggling
The NY Rangers have been struggling big time in recent games, having gone 1-4 in their last five, while opponents Pittsburgh have gone 4-1. The Rangers haven’t looked themselves lately and have seriously struggled to score having only had an average of 2.1 goals per game in their previous five.
Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has been on fire lately, having struggled massively to start the season they are currently on a 4-0 winning streak and have managed to score 3.3 goals in each of their previous five games.
The Penguins won 5-2 during their previous visit to Madison Square Garden and we believe they can get back-to-back here against a struggling NY Rangers.
The Rangers have lost two of their previous six games on home ice and with a confident Pittsburgh team they could be in trouble yet again.
Team Trends & Facts
- The New York Rangers have the 2nd worst ATS record on home ice this season going 2-8.
- The Pittsburgh Penguins have gone 7-5 ATS on the road thus far this season.
- The Penguins are 5-3-2 in their last ten games while the NY Rangers have gone 4-6 in their previous 10.
The Pick
The Penguins started the season off poorly, having allowed the 2nd most amount of goals overall, they have upped their game offensively, outscoring most of their opponents during their recent wins.
The Rangers are struggling to score right now and are allowing a lot of goals, having allowed 3.2 goals per game in their previous five outings. Overall, we love the Penguins as underdogs in this spot, and it seems like a very generous set of odds that the top sportsbooks are offering us.
If you don’t mind laying some juice, the Penguins are also available at -130 on the PK line at +1.5. This bet is also strong value in our opinion and we would happily bet that down to as low as -140.
