We have a nice ten-game NHL card this Tuesday night, and with plenty of games to get stuck into, it wasn’t hard to find some of our favorite picks on tonight’s card.
First, we are heading to Boston, where the Washington Capitals are looking to put an end to their 0-3 streak, while opponents Boston are on a 0-8 losing streak.
Our second pick on tonight’s NHL betting card sees us head to the Sunshine State when San Jose and rivals Anaheim, come head-to-head in a matchup between two of the league’s best ATS teams.

Too Much Value For Goals Despite Trends

San Jose Sharks vs. Anaheim Ducks

Tight Rival Game Expected
One of the toughest rivalries in the NHL these days is between the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks. Recent games between these teams have been intense and low-scoring, with only an average of 3.8 goals scored across their previous five matchups.
The Ducks come into this game sitting in 12th position in the Western Conference, while opponents San Jose are at the bottom of the conference. Anaheim has dominated this rival in recent games, having gone 8-2 overall across their last ten meetings.
Both these teams rank as two of the top ATS teams in the NHL, with the Ducks having gone 51-22 ATS for +27 units and the Sharks 42-31 for +3.85u (based on one unit per bet).
San Jose just lost 8-1 to another state rival last time out with the LA Kings, so we must believe they will be looking to turn it on tonight against the Ducks.

The Pick
The winner’s moneyline market is pointing towards the Anaheim Ducks, but we don’t fancy laying -220 for that to occur. A better bet, in our opinion, is to take the under goals line here for the juice.
Although it’s juiced to -135 for under 6.5 goals to be scored, we believe this line is too high, and we expected to see the same total go around -145/150, so there is plenty of value to be had here.
It’s hard to see where goals will come here, and we would also advise the under 6.0 goal line for a possible push at odds of -110.
