The NHL card tonight might have just four games taking place, but we have plenty of betting opportunities to look at across the board and we are looking to target two plus-money bets.
Firstly we are looking at the Eastern Conference matchup between Philadelphia and the New York Islanders, a game in which we fancy the road team as underdogs. Elsewhere, we are targeting goals and a plus-money alternative line in the Winnipeg and Utah matchup.

Utah Hockey Club vs. Winnipeg Jets

Although neither team is known particularly for high-scoring games, the Winnipeg Jets have scored 3.48 goals per game, which is one of the highest in the NHL at the time of writing. Although Utah allows 3 goals per game, and only scores 2.85, we believe this game has a sneaky chance of going over the total, although it must be admitted we will likely need most of the goals to come from the home team.
These two teams met only three days ago in Utah where the home team came away as 5-2 winners, cashing the over 6.5 goals on that occasion let’s hope they can make it back-to-back games.

Both teams come into this game off the back of a win, with the Utah Hockey Club shutting out the Minnesota Wild on the road with a 4-0 victory, and the Winnipeg Jets beating a strong Colorado Avalanche team 3-2.
We are hoping the Jets can break an under trend at home, having gone under the 5.5 total line in 4 of their previous 5 games. Both these teams are decent defensively but we feel tonight’s offenses could be let off the leash.
Admittedly, you can look to take over 5.5 goals here for -125 NHL odds, which isn’t a bad bet but we do feel there is some value to be had taking the 6.5 line, an empty netter could sway things our way for the sake of plus money.
