The Winnipeg Jets are looking strong this season thus far. Ahead of tonight’s action at the top-rated sportsbooks, we believe they are the best bet on the road as they face a disappointing Pittsburgh team.

Jets Should Prove Too Strong
The Winnipeg Jets are hot right now. Coming into this road game they are 16-3 thus far this season and sit top of the Western Conference. They boast the best goaltender in the league right now in Connor Hellebuyck and offensively they have scored the second most amount of goals per game with 4.21 in total.
Only the Washington Capitals have scored more goals this season than the Jets, and it’s been a hell of a turnaround offensively for both teams as only last season the Capitals had the 4th worst offense and the Jets were middle of the pack scoring 3.15 goals per game.
Winnipeg is on a roll right now, winning 8 of their previous 10 games. They have only suffered losses to the Tampa Bay Lightning and last season’s Stanely Cup winners, the Florida Panthers.
The Pittsburgh Penguins, on the other hand, are having a horrible season, having gone 7-10-4. They look a long way off the playoff peace. Overall they have been respectable offensively and defensively, allowing and scoring 3.10 goals per game. However, in recent games, they only have 4 wins in their previous 10 on home ice and 2 of those 4 wins came after regulation.

We like the Jets -125 NHL betting odds on the moneyline. Advisably, I wouldn’t lay any more than -130. Small value to be had but a solid selection pick-wise.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks

Sabres Struggling Away From Home
The Buffalo Sabres have been both hot and cold this season. It is hard to know what you are going to get from them on any given night, and in a somewhat similar case, tonight’s opponents have been the same. In recent outings, they have been getting hot having gone 2-0 on their recent road trip to the East Coast.
Thus far this season on the road, the Sabres have gone 2-4-1 and, despite winning last time out against the L.A Kings, it was only by a rare 1-0 victory and the Kings had almost double the amount of shots as the Sabres.

In our opinion, this betting market is wrong with the odds they are providing for tonight’s moneyline. With the Ducks as home underdogs, we are all about that at +110. The Ducks are a respectable 6-9 in their previous 15 games as underdogs.
This is a 50/50 game in our opinion. Factor in that the Sabres are without one of their stars in Tage Thompson and that they are on the road, and we would slightly favour the Anaheim Ducks.
The Ducks are a good bet here as underdogs at +110. We would happily bet them down to as low as -115 in this game. They have gone 2-1 on home ice against Buffalo in their previous three games.
