His last effort was perhaps the least impressive of the trio as Jones lasted only four full innings and allowed two runs on six hits, resulting in a 4-3 Pirates win over the Royals last Monday.

Right-hander Rhett Lowder (1-2, 1.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) will be making just the fifth start of his MLB career when he takes on the Bucs in front of the fan friendlies at the Great American Ballpark. Lowder was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and has pitched lights out since being promoted to the bigs at the end of August.
