Can the RSM Classic Give Kevin the Kiss of Life?
No doubt about it, if there is anywhere on the PGA Tour schedule that can give Kevin Kisner’s game the “Kiss of Life” it is here at Sea Island.
The event and courses hold fond memories for Kisner, who has been a perennial competitor for the title over many years, indeed the forty-year-old from Georgia, won his maiden PGA Tour title here back in 2015.
It has been a tough couple of years on the course for Kisner, who has become a fixture in the commentary booth most weekends rather than on the course, but last week at the Bermuda Championship, there were real signs of life that his game had finally turned a corner.
A fast start to the opening two rounds saw him close to the 36-hole lead, and his stall over the weekend was to be expected, though clearing off the “contention rust” could be a good thing for Kisner as we approach one of his favorite events.

Is It Too Late for Tyler Duncan?
Time is running out for Tyler Duncan after a 28th-place finish at last week’s Bermuda Championship left him with the perilous FedEx standing of #174.
The 2019 RSM Classic champion Tyler Duncan has left it late if he is to retain his playing privileges for next season, but if there is anywhere that the thirty-five-year-old from Columbus can save his card, it is here at Sea Island where he has a strong affinity.
Duncan will need to pull on those good memories of the past as well as the fact that only twelve months ago he finished in 3rd place to Ludvig Aberg, which was his last top 10 finish on the PGA Tour.
In that context, last week’s effort in Bermuda was eye-catching and if it has given his flagging confidence a jolt, then perhaps this week’s drink at the last chance saloon for Duncan could be a tasty one.
There is no doubt he looks like a solid pick for the place markets and we suggest betting on him in the top 20 markets this week.
However, with “Hobson’s Choice” at the RSM Classic, Tyler Duncan must go all guns blazing for a top 5 finish or better, and we suggest a speculative bet on his outright price of +30000 with Bovada.
