Golf Pick: Nate Lashley to Win Outright (+6000) at Bovada (visit our Bovada Review)
This week the PGA Tour stops in Mexico for the World Wide Technology Championship and here at BMR, our resident golf expert, Craig Edwards @EdwardsTips_ brings you his best bets.
World Wide Technology Championship 2024
November 7 – 10, 2024 at El Cardonal
Course Notes
- El Cardonal Golf Course
- Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
- Par 72, 7452 yards
- Designer – Tiger Woods
This course offers wide fairways so golfers can bomb it away off the tee with no penalty, as well as large paspalum greens and with less than three bunkers per hole, so strong approach play could be the key.
Last year’s event was won by South African Erik Van Rooyen at twenty-seven-under-par.
Matt Kuchar and Camillo Villegas were joint runner-ups last year so it is fair to say any lack of distance off the tee is not too much of a negative.
Why Nate Is a Great Pick
Nate Lashley is always a player to be considered on wide-open layouts where players can lash their tee shots with little or no pressure.
However, there are more reasons than just the one why Nate Lashley has come up high on my model for this week’s World Wide Technology Championship.
Firstly, the forty-one-year-old Nebraskan loves playing golf down in South America, with many of his best finishes in this part of the world.
Last year’s course debut was an impressive one for Lashley with a 10th place finish, which was another top 10 finish in PGA Tour events in Latin America, making it six in total with three at the Corales Puntacana and two at the Puerto Rico Open.
Lashley has been around the minor tours for many years before his breakthrough season on the PGA Tour in 2019 when he won the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Several of those formative years were spent on the South American PGA Tour where he won the San Luis Open, the Ecuador Open, and the Shell Championship to go with a win a couple of seasons later on the KFT Tour at the Corales Resort and Club Championship in the Dominican Republic.
To solidify what is a very strong case for Lashley further, his last appearance on the PGA Tour a couple of weeks ago in Japan at the Zoso Championship was an impressive one with a 16th place result in a much stronger field.
The case for Nate Lashley is a very solid one and we are backing him in several markets, so we suggest you back him to win the World Wide Technology Championship Bovada to take their price of +6000.

Don’t Forget Piercy Again in Your Props Bets
Three weeks ago, at the Shriners, Scott Piercy landed a top 20 props bet for readers and followers at +600 and there are solid reasons to back the Las Vegas resident again in Mexico this week.
We mentioned how the forty-five-year-old’s four-time champion on the PGA Tour winning days were probably behind him but this “journeyman professional” is still grinding cheques on the PGA Tour and this week is another perfect opportunity.
The El Cardonal Golf Course was used for the first time twelve months ago and Piercy looked perfectly at home on the easy test and performed creditably with yet another top 20 finish.
Last year, fellow veterans Matt Kuchar and Camillo Villegas were joint runners-up so this year could be the turn of another veteran to run close to winning making all the place markets of interest.
We suggest you make Scott Piercy your main golf props bet at the World Wide Technology Championship by choosing the top 20 option as your props bet.
BetOnline has a wide range of props markets to choose from, perfect for lower stakes at the top 5 and top 10
