- November 15, 2024
Jake Paul will finally face Mike Tyson tonight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and it will be one of the biggest nights of the year.
Paul is the –290 favorite at BookMaker (visit our BookMaker Review) with Tyson the decided underdog at +237. But, where is the sharp money going? To get a better sense of how the bets are flowing in, we spoke with a head lines manager at the popular offshore sportsbook and learned the following:
“Action has been steadily coming in on both sides for the highly anticipated Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, yet the betting lines have remained stable with minimal movement. While a surge in betting interest is expected as the fight date approaches, it’s projected to draw slightly less attention than previous celebrity matchups, potentially due to a perceived decline in the appeal of these types of fights. Notably, sharp bettors are leaning toward Jake Paul, indicating some strategic confidence in his favor.”

Date: Friday, November 15, 2024 – 08:00 PM ET at AT&T Stadium
Where to Watch: The event will be streamed live by Netflix.
Best Bet: Jake Paul to Win (-260). Jake Paul is the clear favorite for this matchup, and with good reason. At 27 years old, he has the stamina and agility to dominate a much older Mike Tyson. The current odds of -260 show respect for Tyson’s legacy, but Paul should have the upper hand, especially if he avoids Tyson’s power shots early on. Look for Paul to control the pace and potentially secure a decision or late-round stoppage.

Can Tyson Go More Than Four Rounds?
Probably, it will help Tyson’s cause immensely that he and Paul will be fighting two-minute rounds, instead of the standard three minutes. This is still an officially sanctioned fight under the auspices of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations; Tyson and Paul are scheduled for eight rounds max, wearing the heavier 14-ounce gloves for added protection.
The current market odds are -170 for over 4.5 rounds as offered by Bovada Sportsbook.
The big question is if Paul will get greedy and try to keep his $5 million – or if he’s willing to invest that money and make this fight appear somewhat competitive. Paul said back in August that his goals for November 15 were to “make $40 million and knock out a legend.”
Tyson is expected to make around $20 million, which is significant given his reported $10 million net worth as of June. Despite earning $400 million during his career, Tyson filed for bankruptcy in 2003.

Tyson-Paul By The Numbers
Jake Paul's Path to Fame
For Paul to continue his revenue-generating ways, he needs the name value instead of him in the ring. Of course, he’ll enter as a betting favorite when fighting Grandads, and he needs every advantage possible to secure a win and future money-making opportunities that can continue this fraudulent moment in combat sports.
Just look what happened when he faced a boxer of his own size and age… Tommy Fury exposed “The Problem Child,” whose ego clearly thought he was prepared for this setting. Fury isn’t even that much of a noteworthy boxer himself, but once the outlying factors such as speed, age and size were equal, Paul crumbled like trodden on a packet of chips.
The Tyson bout, airing on Netflix, will naturally garner huge attention. It’s a sideshow for the masses, but are the betting lines a huge trap?

Training footage and in-ring abilities are two different worlds. Of course, Tyson will be the most legendary boxer Paul has faced, but it’s unclear if Tyson’s history in the boxing industry will be enough to bridge their 31-year age gap.
Due to his previous career as a heavyweight champion, during which he achieved 44 career knockouts, oddsmakers initially granted him leniency. Some odds gave him a 1/2 price despite his absence from the boxing ring. The bookmakers established Paul’s betting odds at 2 to 1, indicating that anyone who placed bets on him in the early stages received some excellent value.
The current probabilities in this bout are far closer, and it’s easy to see why. By the way, the Paul-Tyson bout will set a new world record for the biggest age gap between two fighters in the history of professional boxing.
Back in 1963, Archie Moore, then aged 49, took on a 25-year-old Mike DiBiase. Moore won in the third round thanks to a TKO. The last time Tyson fought professionally was back in 2005 and his last pro victory happened two years before that, when he knocked out Clifford Etienne in 2003.
Who’s On the Tyson-Paul Undercard?
Three other fights are set for November 15, including a standout co-feature between women’s lightweight champion Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. This 10-round clash will have all the major titles on the line.
The WBC men’s welterweight title will also be up for grabs, with Mario Barrios defending his belt against Abel Ramos in a 12-round matchup. The opener features former three-time WBC Asia champion Neeraj Goyat facing Brazilian YouTuber Whindersson Nunes, or Lil Whind, in super middleweight action.
While women’s boxing hasn’t reached the popularity of women’s MMA, the Taylor-Serrano fight stands out. It’s a rematch of their April 2022 showdown at Madison Square Garden, once dubbed the “biggest women’s fight of all time.” Taylor won by split decision, with the bout named Fight of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Taylor is currently the -150 favorite at Bovada; stay tuned to Bookmakers Review for the latest updates as the action unfolds.
