Mike Tyson has hit back at people who are not happy about his fight with Jake Paul. He's defended himself and claimed his return to the ring will generate a huge audience.

Tyson will box again this summer, stepping into the ring for the first time since an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. He'll now fight Jake Paul, the former YouTuber who has turned his attention to boxing.

The fight will be in Texas at AT&T Stadium, that can hold 80,000 people, on July 20. Jake Paul is much younger than Mike Tyson, who some believe is too old to still box.

Rules are not yet clear, but both Paul and Tyson want it to be sanctioned as a professional bout, much to the concern of many within boxing. But Tyson has defended the fight, telling Reuters: "I'm 58 and what? I'm getting billions of views from just talking to somebody about fighting. Everybody, even most of the athletes, they're jealous, that's whack.

"I say in your prime you couldn't draw a million people, man. What are you talking, you couldn't sell out arena. Who at 58 could sell out an 80,000-seat arena? Why you think he wants to fight me and not anybody else? Everybody wants to fight him, all the boxers want to fight him. But if he fought them the only people that will come are the people that like him.

"The other guys, their parents might not even come watch them. That's just keeping it real. They're too boring for their children to watch, it's like watching grass grow."

Tyson has already started getting ready for the fight, even though it's still more than three months away. Paul made a joke about starting his 'training camp' by having fun in St Barts.

If the fight between Paul and Tyson is just for show, there might not be any judges to score it, and the rounds could be shorter. Tela Mange, who works for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, said they only know the date of the fight right now.

"The promoter will need to submit proposed cards before we determine whether a particular contest would be considered as an exhibition or a professional fight, or how a proposed exhibition might be structured. We can also request additional testing if we think it's appropriate," Mange recently explained to USA Today Sports.

Tyson has done a charity boxing in the past, right?

so he knows the game

I will pass and catch any highlights if he turns to his old self

I was going to say there's a ton of money in the celebrity boxing racket now, but not always.

Pass and catch some of these highlights, and I think the big guy got $40k and the little guy got $15k for this epic bout...
