Aaron Donald (31 yo, 8 yrs pro) is under contract through 2024 with the Rams. Unfortunately, the next two years of his contract have $0 guaranteed money. He's saying he won't come back without a new contract but says, "ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY". He says its about winning another superbowl. If he doesn't come back, he's "at peace with his career.

This is total bulls#it. If it was just about wnning another superbowl then his existing contract should be good enough for him but, he won't play without a new contract. SO I GUESS IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE FVK'N MONEY.

These pro athletes try to look so altruistic yet they are just greedy MF's. I'm sure his public relations people and manager will continue to spout how he doesn't care about the cash just so he doesn't come off looking greedy.

kind of talks out of both sides of mouth in full quote.... and he's right it is a business.

sounds like he needs a chance to win SB realistically and the $

It ain't about the money, it's a business at the end of the day," Donald, 31, said on the podcast hosted by former NFL players Brandon Marshall, Adam "Pacman" Jones and LeSean McCoy. "That's what you've got to see. For me, it's about winning. I don't want to play football if I can't win anyway, so I feel like ... if I got a real opportunity to win another Super Bowl, then it makes sense to play. But again, it's still a business. We've got to handle the business side of things, and if that wasn't to get handled then, you know, it is what it is type of situation.

if I'm a star NFL player with decent bank already made. I'm not playing without a good amount of guaranteed money either

why go through off season workouts and OTA, training camp, preseason games ect. where I could have a life threatening injury, or lose ability to walk, or get my brain scrambled and not be able to enjoy rest of my life, If I can just be cut and get no money.

that would be bad business and not worth the very real risk of life altering injuries that NFL players face

Agreed. But don't come out trying to look like an angel by saying "ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY".
Own it. Say it...

Lloyds of London will insure him of any career ending injuries. He’s not going to get cut traded maybe. So not guarantee is essentialy guaranteed.
