Warner/Discovery matched - there is no 2nd round of bids.

Warner/Discovery had the exclusive window - couldn’t make a deal - Amazon made a bid after that exclusive window expired and Warner/Discovery had 10 days to match or reject - they matched - it’s done.

TNT will get Thursday Night games - Friday/Saturday games go to Max streaming app.

They also get a conference final every other year. ESPN gets the other conference final and NBA finals each year.

Why - because of their market cap and free cash ?

Was a time where RCA and CBS were expected to own everything too - and for a moment they owned a lot - but as history proves - no matter how big the empire it will fall.

Remember when GE owned everything we touched in the 80/90s - that fell apart too. Corporate empires just can’t keep control of all of their assets and before long some young start up beats them. Remember Google tried to stifle Facebook - who tried to buy TikTok - tech has changed the game - used to be you could get a solid 10 year head start on the competition - now your lucky to get 2.

There will always be a disruptor. Or at least, one will always come along.

Even if it takes the US Gov't Anti Trust to begin the disruption.
