Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor "Phish Food" is named after the 1991 Phish song "It's Ice".
The band agreed to the name change to celebrate their Vermont roots.
The flavor is made with chocolate ice cream, chewy marshmallow, and gooey caramel. It also contains fish-shaped chocolate chunks.
The band's initial response to Ben & Jerry's request to license their name for the flavor was "no, thank you". The band had previously agreed not to license their name to anyone but a record label.
Ben & Jerry's used royalties from the flavor to support the WaterWheel Foundation. The foundation was established in 1997 to raise funds for charity.
Phish Food contains milk, eggs, soy, and may contain peanuts, tree nuts, and wheat.
