Ok. All good. Here's what happened.

I logged in for the first time in about a year. I found that my balance was 0, when it should have been a lot more. I talked to CS agent "Warner". I told him my balance was supposed to be X but it showed as zero. Warner told me 0 was the correct balance and I was free to look at my transaction log.

I looked at my transaction log. There were a bunch of wagers which looked like the wagers that I had made, but the balance figures were inaccurate. Multiple places in the transaction history said my balance was negative when I placed bets. I had a $5k payout last year, but the transaction log said I had a negative balance when I took the payout.

I asked Warner why DSI would have paid me $5k if I had a negative balance. He said DSI made a mistake and paid me when it shouldn't have, and that the system let me bet many times with a negative balance due to a "system error". I asked for a manager and Warner told me that Christian Madriz (manager) would be available soon.

Then Madriz contacted me and told me the system zeroed out my balance due to inactivity. Everything is good now.

I'm not going to opine on whether this was an attempt to confiscate my balance. For those who are playing with or want to play with DSI, note that Madriz told me that he can disable a feature that zeroes out a balance due to inactivity and did so for my account so that this couldn't happen again.

I’m not 100 percent sure but I’d probably want them to disable a “feature” that gives them free reign to steal your available funds

Your account will be deemed ‘Dormant’ if you have not made a deposit, a withdrawal, or placed a bet/wager for a period of 12 months or more. Clients who are inactive for a period of 6 months or more will be emailed regularly to the email address registered to their account with regular updates on their account status and balance. If the account remains inactive for a period of 12 months or more the account will be subject to a ‘zero out’ meaning that their balance will be set to $0. However, if after an account has been zeroed out and the player wishes to come back and reactivate their account they simply need to contact customer service and make a request to reinstate your balance at which time any qualified balance that was zeroed out will be reinstated to the players account.

For those interested, this is the rule and I have no issue with it. However, it did appear to me that someone had tampered with my transaction history to make it seem like I had lost all my money betting. Since my balance was restored I lost access to the inaccurate transaction history so I can't really confirm. I should have taken a screenshot at the time.

Do they limit? I want to take the cash bonus promo
If you beat them, the different book options in the left menu start disappearing. Initially there are three or four sportsbooks you can play with as part of DSI. If you bet in one of their sportsbooks (left menu selections), the system forbids you from betting in any of the other books. That's a form of limiting. The actual wagering limits are already quite low, never more than $2k in my experience.

When I first signed up a few years ago, the left pane had "retro book" and "superbook" and one or two other books instead of just "sports". These were different sportsbooks with different odds and limits from each other.

BTW, one of those books (now disappeared) appeared identical (same odds and limits) to BAS. Now mine looks the same as yours. Unsure if this is the default now or if you and I both just lost all the other books.

Wow. This is very sketchy. I'm glad/surprised you got paid.

Recently BM also made an error and zeroed out my balance. Basically I had been withdrawing from BM but not wagering, and the system automatically zeroed me out.

However, the transaction log at BM was crystal clear---my transactions were all accurate, and then the most recent transaction listed "dormant account" (or something similar), and then -(my balance). The first CS agent I talked to fixed the problem immediately.

With DSI, the CS guy was insistent that my correct balance was zero and argued with me a bunch, and the transaction log was all messed up. I'm open to the idea that their system is just trash and doesn't handle dormant accounts correctly, but I'm also open to the idea that this was an attempt to steal my balance. Meh.

Might be the new default?

Its a new account I haven't placed any bets/made any deposits.
