Castillo to the Mariners

Seattle sends three of its top five prospects(and four players overall) to Cincinnati for ace right-hander Luis Castillo. "You have got to step out and take a chance once in a while," Mariners manager Scott Servais said.

Any thoughts on this fellas ?

Cincinnati was done anyway & in selling mode. Now they get some prospects for a pitcher who was clearly gonna leave since he was the main pitcher in the market in his prime to acquire.

Pretty solid deal on both ends. Castillo has always been better away from that Cincy park so he should love pitching in Sea. Some good prospects headed to cincy but Marte's stock had fallen some of late so as always a bit of a crap shoot for the reds but one they needed to take.

Will be interesting to see if Seattle makes a follow up deal on the offensive side of things.

Agreed. We will see how this all transpires for them with a possible playoff run. It’s been a very long time since they were a legit contender. It’s been 20 years since they were in the playoffs & Le Martin was still shitting in her diapers back then.

I have this premonition that they are going to the AL division series & lose to the NY Yankees. Where can I bet on that prop offshore ? Any idea Biggins maybe knows. I know US books offer a shit load more props during the season. Unfortunately I can’t play with US books at this time.
