Safety Damar Hamlin had his heartbeat restored after suffering cardiac arrest Monday night versus the Bengals, and he is in critical condition at a Cincinnati hospital.

When Jose Fernandez died, that was real tough for me, as a Marlins fan. Then the next day, Arnold Palmer, died. Which wasn’t as traumatic but still very sad.

Yeah I remember that was some pretty shocking news. They talked about how he was so huge in the south Florida Cuban community

Hope for a speedy recovery. Only case that I can think of like when Skaggs passed away but that was not during the game. Also in soccer, when players all of a sudden fall down. Did Damar Hamlin collapse from a hit. It seems he tackled Higgins, got up and then collapsed? There were no replays of the play.

Normal everyday tackle. No head to head. Got up, took a step and went totally limp and collapsed to the ground

I still remember the Payne Stewart incident clearly. I was living in the Midwest and I was visiting my parents in Arizona. I flew from Phoenix to Denver on a stopover. While in DIA, I found out there was a delay in my connecting flight to the Midwest.

I saw an airport worker and asked him about the delay. He had a sad look in his eyes and said they hoped to have things cleared up quickly. After a short delay I was able to fly home.

It turns out that the plane crashed a couple miles from my uncle's lake cabin. My Dad passed away a couple months later so this trip was the last time I saw him.
