During the 1st day of the Covid shut down I was actually in Vegas, PAC12 hoops!
I de idea to walk from Strip to DT. I took the sidewalk by the then under construction Resorts World.
It started to POUR. When it rains in Vegas it fills up the streets with gross Vegas water.
A large pool began to accumulate and I was mid fence/ construction zone and became basically trapped in what was about 24" of sidewalk walking space.
Sure as shit, a huge bus comes ripping down the street at 40mph and hit that puddle of gurgling sewer water.
The spash/ pressure knocked me off my feet. I was soaked in repugnant Vegas Street water, covered head to toe. I get up,dry heaving because of the stench and visual of the ground. Used condoms, needles, food, wrappers, dead rats, etc
Alas, sticking to my arm (along with a burger King wrapper) was 3 $100 bills.
I shit you not...now, was this worth it. No way. I actually went to get medics attention for fear I'd ingested hepatitis or some from the water, but YES, there is free money out there at times, you just gotta be in the right place at the right time!
