Did you get the shingles Vaccine? I got the first done and getting my 2nd in two weeks when I go back to America. Curious, I was out of commission for 24 hours after the 1st one, barely could move, is the 2nd just as bad?

I've got it before I was 50 because, I've gotten shingles 5X. Once on my face (nearly made me blind). Fortunaley no scarring so far.

There are two types of shingles vaccine. The newer one apparently works better and lasts longer. I can't remember the names of them. I've gotten both. The newest one lasts like 10 years.

I'm surprised the shot set you back. I had no problems with the shots other than a little tired and arm hurt.

I got the shingles vaccine - Shingrix. I didn't really have any adverse affects. Just like Tanko, my arm hurt a little, and it made me tired. Below is a link to a article from the CDC about shingles:

I was down for the count. In America they only use Shingrix now. It’s a 2 shot thing.

I have not but have seen people go thru shingles and it is brutal. Very painful
