Fuq. Guy was so smooth.

Rick Majerus was on record saying that Marquette was fortunate to beat the Heels in 1977. North Carolina had six future NBA players on the roster. Majerus didn't think they'd match up to such a talented team. But North Carolina had accumulated multiple injuries by the time of the championship game.

UNC wasn't going on all cylinders. Marquette played a perfect first half. And they beat the Tar Heels, 67-59.
