Friday is here homies and another big weekend of football lies ahead.

But I have to rant for a minute about a couple of things.

It takes A LOT to get under my skin.

But sometimes it's just the little things that bothers us the most.

And I know it will sound petty to some, but one of those things that really annoys is when I/we go out to eat, and the restaurant can be 75% empty, yet the hostess takes you and sits you RIGHT BESIDE other customers.

Ummm NO!

There's plenty of room to spread us out and give us all our space, but you want to crowd us and force strangers to sit together?!?
It's uncomfortable.
It's like inviting someone into your home for dinner that you've never even met before, or vice versa.

I understand they do it for a reason, because they want to keep customers compacted so their lazy azzes they don't have to go back & forth as much

I always immediately tell them no, and that we prefer to sit somewhere else. They can't deny you of that.

Similarly, another thing is when I/we go to the movie theater, you find your seats, and once again, there are plenty of seats everywhere, but some mother fu¢kers comes sit directly beside, behind, or in front of you.

Sorry for rambling but these things happen a lot and BOTH happened on the very same day recently.

I guess I just hate stupid ppl lol.

And that's one reason I love BMR.

Pitching - Even matchup:
Morris (CLE) vs Gray (TEX). Morris is a rookie with only 4 starts and only his last start went > 6 IP. He has done well though given his inexperience. Gray is the old hand in this game. We have a 2.32 ERA (Morris) vs a 3.38 ERA (Gray). I think this is a good matchup and we'll see if Morris can continue to pitch well. If he does get into trouble, the Guardians bullpen is decent.


Batting Recent data:
CLE WRC+ 115, OPS 0.763, AVG 0.277
TEX WRC+ 76, OPS 0.618, AVG 0.218
This is the area that Texas is struggling with and will give Morris a chance to look good.

Both teams scoring well of late: CLE 7.5 rpg avg, TEX 4.5 rpg avg. I like seeing a 2 rpg delta.


Relief pitching:
2.84 vs 3.01 ERA from the bullpens.
CLE bullpen is very fresh. They used a few pitchers in game 1 vs CWS but that was 3 days ago.
Texas bullpen is used up a little more but not extensively. I would still give edge to CLE as far as having the best relievers available for the game (Morgan, Hentges, Sandlin)


Misc (team momentum and historical peformance):
CLE is a whooping +11 units as visitors this season
TEX is suffereing at home -12 units for the year.

CLE is a league leading +5 units over the last week.
TEX is break even at -0.5 units over same period.

CLE wins on road as dogs by an avg of 0.5 rpg.
TEX losses as home favss by an avg of 0.6 rpg.

CLE is 15-3 in their last 18 games
TEX is 7-16 in their last 24 games

lol and then again these are one of the many reasons why i stay home. being surrounded by many people you don't know/like can be so draining. beers here and there once in a while is good but being alone with your thoughts w/ no dramas are always better.

I think there is value on the Cubs today at PIT.

Cubs ML +105 Heritage

Assad (CHC) is the better pitcher. Neither team has been lighting it up at the plate lately but Wilson (PIT) is allowing the Cubs to hit at a 0.382 AVG pace. Cubs road performance this year is +5 units. PIT at home is -8 units.

Pirates on a 7 game skid. 6 of those were against NYY and NYM though so......

Agree with all of that. Add in, going into a restaurant and seeing a ton of empty tables and them saying you need reservation that they are booked. So go on app makes reservations and immediately get seated. How dumb is that. That was a a hash house in Vegas during Covid my last trip there.
