Gambling is a sin if it becomes a consuming pursuit for riches. To play a scratch ticked once in a while is not what I am talking about. What I am saying is that to use a person’s money that should be used for the needs of their family for the purpose of trying to win more is always a lose-lose situation. Lotteries and casinos are in the business of making money so the odds of winning are never in favor of the player. Some use money to gamble that literally steals food out of their family’s mouth.

Taking it easy this weekend, just winding down my recovery from surgery.

@BMR Genie did your friend have surgery yet? Hope they are well.

I'm feeling pretty good post op, can't wait for the next phase. In fact, I'd say I'm feeling alright...

I'm happy to hear about your speedy recovery, KVB. Not yet, it got postponed to next week.

What is the next phase?

Mostly contiuning the journey to better health. My body was taking calcium from my bones and literaly putting it in my kidneys, for years. Surgery fixed that but now I need to have my kidneys "blasted" to get rid of the stones and then need to eat right, take the right supplements, and excercise to get my bones back to a good spot.

It's a long journey but soon I will be back in great physical shape. I already have a ton more energy. Starting to feel that urge to get productive.

Good things to come, I haven't been living up to my potential for many, many years.

That will change. I am very optimisitic.

Seen them many times, even at tiny venues. They are from my hometown, Santa Barbara, I was at a party last year when I was visiting and the singer was there.

Would love to see them in a small venue, intimate setting.

They were at a reggae festival in Tahoe this summer, but we didn’t make it. There was a pretty good lineup of bands that weekend.

Disappointed, I didn’t get there.
