Most of the people I've worked with and friends since high school have a lot more than that invested in there hobbies over that same span.
Add in adult beverages and other stuff over 30 years, that at least adds another 60k.
Been clean and sober 5 years as of may 25th.

God let me win for years. when you think about how lucky you are to not have to steal/beg ect to gamble. every terrible refs call that goes your way you dont even care. you just feel like you have more to lose that game and dismiss how fortunate you just got. but if the call goes against you then you feel railroaded and never forget it
