street ball guy
Good analogy. He reminds you of one of those street ball guys who would rather look good and lose than look bad and win.

I’d love the opportunity to get this close to him and say:

Losing to Memphis is embarrassing. This Memphis team is a shell of their former selves with Ja suspended and Steven Adams out for the year. Meanwhile Tyrese Maxey dropped 50 today and the Sixers won again proving they are much better off without that cancer Harden on their team.

Work in progress is right but it's still early in the season. Still time for them to turn it around
There's plenty of time to turn it around but this Clippers team was fine before they picked up Harden. I don't think Harden and Westbrook work together too well. It didn't work in OKC and I don't think it'll work here.

Mr Gum, you called it. Clippers picked up a problem (Harden).

Subtraction by Addition, if you will. Memphis notches win over Clips.

Harden and Westbrook probably top two “stats first” and “me first” guys to play in the league last two decades. What could go wrong?

1) How much of a cancer is Harden?
2) Westbrook - it's natural that his play would erode. High-usage player in his peak. When the athleticism declined, how much game did he have left?
I think for this to work out they have to bring one of Harden and/or Westbrook off the bench. Those guys need to be willing to sacrifice for the betterment of the team because right now it ain't working and they need to fix it. Plenty of time to fix it but it remains to be seen if this can work.
