Actually seen a guy jump the stands in a trotter race pulled the rider off and ground and pound him in the middle of the track back in the day because he thought he was pulling up on the reigns on purpose. Good Times!

They mention alcohol in the article but neglect to mention it is likely the cause of 99.9% of fans going off at games. If they eliminated alcohol (side note: nobody would go to games) the violence would be eliminated. Live betting at games would not cause 1/100th as much violence as alcohol.

that's the dumbest thing i've ever read, zero relation whatsoever

people's behavior at a game (or anywhere in public for that matter) will always mirror the state of society at the time

the bigger question is, why would anyone even attend an NBA, NFL, or MLB game these days? the players, owners, unions, and refs are all hated by the fans, the quality of play is awful, and the costs are a joke

best solution is to stop supporting these leagues full stop.. no tickets, merchandise, cable/satellite subscriptions, etc.

Definitely agree with that statement. I doubt many fans are even live betting at the games anyway

What they will never mention is Women. Guys get drunk and act a fool thinking the woman their with are getting disrespected. Then you have women getting drunk and acting like fools.

I think its funny as s#it when you see a woman drunk at a game (no offense Le, Genie, Boldhead). Woman just do funnier stuff when they get pounded at sporting events. Guys just get into fights.

Sad part is that a lot of the guys with these women, don't calm them down. They let them make fools of themselves.

I'm surprised there's not more bomb threats to stop a game if big money is going to be loss.

My guess is, if someone called in a threat like that to a major sporting event, the venue may not do anything without serious backing to say its real. If they told fans to evacuate a stadium, there would be a lot of injuries from the melee that would ensue.
